Are FeneCAM and Opticutter the same product?
No. Same 1D/2D class, different shops. FeneCAM is fenestration and saw workflow. Opticutter is a generic cutlist plus a public REST API.

Same 1D/2D cutlist class. Different shops. FeneCAM is built for aluminium and uPVC window bars and saw workflow. Opticutter is a generic cutlist plus a documented public REST API.
This is a fair 2026 comparison, not a ranking. Facts below were checked on 30 August 2026. Vendor for Opticutter: Devtica s.r.o., Žilina.
Both products solve the one-dimensional and two-dimensional cutting stock problem: stock lengths or sheets in, a nest out. Both have a free public calculator and paid workspace plans. Both export a cut plan a shop can print or download.
FeneCAM’s public copy and tools assume mill-length 6000 mm aluminium and uPVC profiles, 45/45 miters, remnants, and single-head / double-head / CNC machine modes. Exports are PDF, XLS, CSV and DXF only. FeneCAM has no documented API.
Opticutter’s public product is a generic cutlist (bars, sheets, many materials) plus a documented REST API. That API is a real product difference. It is not something FeneCAM claims to match.
List prices sit next to each other but not in the same currency. FeneCAM bills in USD through Paddle: Free $0, Standard $9/month, Professional $19/month. Opticutter list prices checked 30 Aug 2026: EUR 9 / EUR 19, plus an API plan at EUR 99. Currency conversion is not a simple cheaper/more expensive claim.

A 6000 mm aluminium bar is a linear stock in any 1-CSP solver. Workflow is what differs: FeneCAM asks for kerf, 45/45 miters, remnants and machine mode for a window saw. A generic cutlist will nest the same lengths without that shop language. Try the 1D profile optimizer or the 2-CSP glass nester.
No. Same 1D/2D class, different shops. FeneCAM is fenestration and saw workflow. Opticutter is a generic cutlist plus a public REST API.
No. FeneCAM has no documented public REST API. That is an Opticutter product, not a FeneCAM claim.
No. USD and EUR are different currencies. List prices were checked on 30 August 2026. Do not treat them as a simple cheaper comparison.
Yes, as linear stock. The nest math is the same class. The window-saw workflow (miters, remnants, single vs double head) is what FeneCAM is written for.
