What it solves

Pipe and tube shops cut random or fixed mill lengths into the lengths on a job’s cut list, and every short end that cannot be reused is money in the scrap bin. FeneCAM nests the required lengths onto your stock and labels each leftover as a remnant for the rack or as scrap. Typical work: stainless tube, square and rectangular tube, hydraulic pipe, handrail and railing stock.

  • Several stock lengths in one plan, including shorter lengths you already have on the rack.
  • Kerf between cuts, plus left and right trim cuts to square up stock ends.
  • Left and right cut angles per part, for example mitered railing corners. Empty angles mean 90°.
  • Minimal remnant length (MR) decides which leftovers are worth keeping. See remnant vs scrap.

How to run it

Browser tool or agent-driven: import, optimize, export. In the browser, use the free linear cut list calculator; there is nothing to install on the saw PC. From an agent, send the cut list with import_parts, call optimize_1csp through the Agent API or MCP, and fetch the plan with export_plan.

Every plan exports as PDF, XLS, CSV or DXF, so the cut list can go to the saw operator on paper or into your own spreadsheet. Machine modes are Single Head, Double Head and CNC. Window and door shops get the same engine with the fenestration feature on top.

FAQ

Does FeneCAM program tube lasers, coping or notching?

No. FeneCAM optimizes lengths, kerf and cut angles on linear stock and exports PDF, XLS, CSV or DXF. It is not tube-laser or coping software.

Can I mix stainless and mild steel tube in one stock list?

No. Keep one material and one section per stock list. A stainless offcut is not stock for a mild steel job, even if the length fits.

What does it cost?

The linear calculator is free with no account. Workspace plans are billed in USD through Paddle: Free $0, Standard $9/month, Professional $19/month, Enterprise API $99/month. Free caps are 5 stock sizes / 20 part sizes / 500 parts. The Agent API and MCP are included in every plan, metered in credits (Free: 1,000 once; paid plans: monthly).
