Handing an optimized 1-CSP plan to the saw

1-CSP answers how many 6000 mm bars a window BOM uses. Machine mode answers how that nest is grouped for the operator. FeneCAM then exports a plan the shop can print or download. The download formats are PDF, XLS, CSV and DXF only. Named controller files are undocumented.

From nest to machine

Optimize first in the 1D profile optimizer. Kerf, 45/45 miters, left/right trim and remnant threshold (MR) belong in that nest. The 1-CSP window-profile guide covers the nest. The remnant vs scrap guide covers leftover. Only after the nest is stable do you pick Single Head, Double Head or CNC and export.

Changing machine mode does not reduce bar count. The double-head vs single-head guide states that clearly; this page is the handoff after that choice.

Single Head, Double Head and CNC

Pick the mode that matches the machine that will run the plan. Re-export after you switch Single to Double or CNC so the printed sequence matches the clamp.

What you can export

PDF, XLS, CSV and DXF only. Use PDF at the bench, XLS or CSV in the office, DXF if the shop plots the bar. There is no documented public REST API and no documented named controller file. Machine mode “CNC” is a grouping in the UI, not a published dialect.

A practical handoff sequence

  1. Lock the BOM on mill-length 6000 mm aluminium or uPVC bars. Do not mix the two materials on one stock list.
  2. Set kerf (3 mm is a starting point), miters and MR. Calculate.
  3. Choose Single Head, Double Head or CNC to match the saw.
  4. Export PDF / XLS / CSV / DXF. Do not expect a vendor-named controller file from this site.
  5. If the saw or the leftover rule changes, change the mode or MR and export again. Do not edit an old PDF by hand and call it the nest.

FAQ

Does CNC mode download a different file type?

No. The file you download is still PDF, XLS, CSV or DXF. CNC mode changes grouping in the UI. Named controller files are undocumented.

Can I send the same PDF to a single-head and a double-head saw?

The 1-CSP nest (which parts sit on which bar) can be the same. The printed sequence should match the machine mode you selected. Re-export after you change the mode.

Will Double Head or CNC save bars?

No. Bar count comes from stock length, part lengths, kerf and remnant. Machine mode is handling, not a second optimizer.
